If you’ve ever moved and changed your address with the Postal Service, then you know what follows: wonderful coupons! And lucky me, I got a coupon for West Elm, one of my favorite furniture stores. I had been eyeballing their pintuck duvet, and the coupon finally gave me an excuse to buy it.

Our old duvet was fine, but I wanted something more neutral. In case you’re wondering, it’s Serafina by Pottery Barn. We’ll reuse it in the house somehow, it’s too pretty to ditch completely!

The pintuck duvet and its matching shams are organic cotton, so it’s light an airy. After the switch, the bed was looking mighty fine. Like a big fluffy cloud waiting for me to curl up in it, haha.

Also, when I made the green no-sew curtains, I mentioned how they looked a little narrow. I beefed them up by adding two more panels and clipping them all together. It definitely makes the curtains more lush.

But wait there’s more! We got really lucky the other day with a Craigslist furniture find. We wanted a dresser that fit the space in our room better. The chest of drawers was just too awkwardly narrow and tall. So we brought this lovely piece of solid wood home. The best part? The previous owners had some awesome smelling laundry detergent and it lingers in the drawers, haha.

We’re making pretty good progress on our bedroom plans, wouldn’t you say?
