It’s already June! Can you believe that at the end of this month, the year will be halfway done?! Before you know it, it’ll be Christmas. Here’s a short recap of the projects we did in May, in case you missed anything.

And Three Months Later…

You have no idea how good it felt to finish this hall bathroom makeover. This month we finished tiling, did some plumbing and prettied up the room with accessories. You can see the reveal here (<– that link also contains the links back to other posts during the makeover process) and look at our budget here. I made a couple tweaks to the room this weekend, so stay tuned for that.

Only A Month Later!

We started this project in April, but a series of delays (pollen, never ending rain) put us a few weeks behind on finishing our couch-length console table. So far, we LOVE this table. We have a couple of lamps on it, but we’re going to work on fleshing out a complete look this month.

Thank Goodness For Easy Exchange Policies

Speaking of the couch, this month brought us an unwelcome surprise: the corner frame in the couch was BROKEN! Womp womp. Using the IKEA warranty was easy though (we also spray painted the furniture legs while we had the couch in pieces). A newly exposed corner (due to moving a floor lamp) got some love too with Pinterest-inspired wood block art.

Oink Oink

I love this pig platter, so I snagged it when it was on sale (thank goodness, because last I checked, it was back to normal price!) and stuck it on the wall above the stove. Easy, cheap, food splatter-proof art!

So Far, So Good

It’s been a couple of weeks and I haven’t killed these hydrangeas yet. Hold your applause though – we’ve got to make it though a hot summer!

Thanks, Friends!

What’s Going On In June?

We’re entering this month without any half-finished projects (unlike last month) so we’re going to dive into a bunch of new things!

  • I’m determined to give the living room some love by finishing our frame collage and decorating our console table (okay, maybe I lied – there are a few half-finished projects that need wrapping up)
  • Something’s cooking in the kitchen (sadly, not food – I’ve been really bad about grabbing ready-to-go meals from Fresh Market lately!)
  • The front yard needs an intervention
  • I’m thinking about starting a semi-regular series of product reviews. Critical reviews of unaffiliated products that we’ve purchased. For example: I want a clothing steamer, but I am NOT about to pay $100 for something clunky. So I’m going to do some online research, hopefully make an educated purchase, and then tell you what I think of the product. You game? Good. It’s happening.
