Time for a recap of last month’s projects!

Quickest Makeover: Wallpapered Powder Room

The powder room in my dad’s house was looking rough. So, for a birthday surprise, we stripped the wallpaper, made the vanity light prettier and accessorized it. All in 24 hours. *flexes muscles*

Longest Project: The Deck

And following the most speedy full room makeover to date, we have a project that isn’t technically finished, after three months of work! We need to stain the deck, but we’re leaning towards waiting until the spring. We haven’t found furniture yet, but we have adirondack chairs! (As I write this, my husband literally just bought a giant umbrella for 75% off at Lowe’s!)

Most Trim(med): Our Bedroom

We came up with a new game plan for our bedroom, and just a few projects in, things are looking cozier. We ditched the TV, stenciled a wall, added wall lights and trimmed out the room. Headboard, art and other accessories are up next.

Best Vacation: Alaska

Did I mention we visited Alaska? I wrote recaps for our trip here, here and here. In the works: a photo book we can stick on the shelf and flip through whenever we want to remember that wild and wonderful state.

Oh, and remember how I mentioned I was sick? Ryan caught something on the plane then I got it five days later? Yep, that took me a solid TWO WEEKS to get over – and really, I’m still feeling a little cough. Seventeen days. Isn’t that nuts? And I only felt bad for a day or two – but the symptoms lingered. What I’m trying to say: it’s nearly cold season. Wash yo’ hands and make your sick significant other sleep in the guest room.
