I missed posting about our Christmas, so here it is. It’s fine, we’re still in January! The rare snow (we got nearly four inches!) put me in the mood.

This was the first year we got a live tree. I’m a big fan of live trees. Christmas trees are one of North Carolina’s biggest exports! I love the smell, the green, the liveliness of it. Forget all other decorations and just give me a live tree!

Since this was our first tree, we had to buy ornaments and lights. I got lights off Amazon (green string white lights were impossible to find in stores!). Most of the ornaments were felt and plush animals, a mix from West Elm and Target. It was also decked with matte and shiny gold balls (Target), glass icicles (Amazon) and a few oddball ornaments collected over the years. (How cute is that gray puppy face?)

We declared this our last year of running around from house to house. My parents live an hour north, his live an hour south. Visit both in one day puts us in the car at least four hours. Probably not going to happen when we have a baby in tow!

Here we are, cheesing with gifts we got one another. I got Ryan a couple of flannel shirts and booked a trip to Asheville. He got me some Carolina sweatpants and that tote bag. Funny enough, the bag and the flannels were from Duluth Trading Company. We might think too much a like sometimes, haha.

When I opened this picture, I realized Ryan’s flannel matches Lucy’s dog bed (bottom left corner) almost perfectly. Ha.

Stay tuned for tomorrow. I’m going to tell you what Baby B is. :D
