Here I am, trying to find my toes.

I’ve hit my stride with pregnancy. I feel good, confident and happy 98% of the time.

Much of that is due to my tremendously supportive and kind husband. He can read when I need a hug (always), when I need some belly rubs and when I’m exhausted and just want someone to play with my hair. It makes my days easier.

Here’s how much I’ve grown!

I feel big. Last week, I studied my silhouette in the mirror and started…weeping. I think weeping is the right word. I was put off by my shape and realizing that I have three more months to grow. Silent, sad tears just came out! So yeah. Weeping. Luckily, my other half sprang into action with hugs and kisses and compliments about how beautiful I am.

Then, the other morning, I caught my silhouette again and thought, “Hell yeah, I look awesome.” Incubating a human does weird things to your head.

Here are some bump outtakes. In order, I’ve named them, “The Star Gazer,” “The Smuggler” and “The Blink.”

Stats!

  • Weight Gain: Haven’t weighed myself. I have an appointment next week, so I’ll update this in two weeks.
  • Movement: He’s on a schedule. Early morning, then 9 a.m. – noon, then again around dinner and again when I lay down for sleepy time. He prefers being breech and it’s annoying me because we’re nearing that ambiguous threshold where he’ll get too big to flip. Send happy, baby flipping thoughts my way, please.
  • Cravings: Still none. It’s disappointing. I want to crave pickles and peanut butter. Speaking of peanut butter, I’ve upped my intake of common allergy food. Peanut butter every morning, shellfish at least twice a week, daily milk and eggs, regular soy and wheat. I need to work in more tree nuts. Maybe some almond butter? Mmmmm. Who knows if it will help Baby B build immunity, but it can’t hurt, right?
  • General Feelings: Aside from that one weeping episode, I’ve been great. We’re nearing the end of our six week birthing class, so I’ll have to write about that.
